Our ongoing wars in Afghanistan (since November, 2001) and Iraq (since March, 2003) have now dragged on longer than several wars of note, including:

Korea (1951-1953, two years)
World War I (1917-1919, two years)
World War II (Dec. 1941- Aug. 1945, three and one half years)

Throw in the Spanish-American War, the Mexican-American War, and the War of 1812, while you're at it; each of these lasted less than three years.

As far as I can tell (my historical knowledge is relatively weak), these two present conflicts are only surpassed in duration by the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, and the Vietnam War.
