Christmas is a beautiful time of year in Paris, but there is nothing open. We discovered on Christmas Eve that the town shuts down by 2pm, and that nothing would be open on Christmas Day. No shops, no museums, no restaurants, nothing. That left us with a few choices: 1) Spend the day walking around and looking at monuments (that we would later have to go back to in order to see inside), and *hope* to find someplace to eat meals, or 2) Go to Disneyland Paris, where they were certain to be open and would definately have food options. We went with Door Number 2.
Disneyland Paris is accessible by public transportation, so after one quick transfer, we took the RER directly to the park. We slept in that morning until 10, and by the time we got all bundled up and ready to go, it was nearly noon by the time we got there and got our tickets, which still left us half the day to wander around. 
The layout of DP is very similar to it's Anaheim sibling, so finding our way around was fairly easy. There was a fairly thick fog hanging around all day, which in addition to keeping things cold also meant there wasn't much wind, so it brought both the good and the bad. It also meant that riding the outdoor roller coasters was a bone-chilling experience.
There are many things different about the two parks, but many similarities as well. They had the old standards such as "It's a Small World" and "Pirates of the Carribean", as well as newer rides such as "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and "Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast". "Space Mountain" was, as it's Anaheim counterpoint, closed because of technical problems, but we wandered around most of the rest of the park. Afterwards, we went to Disney Village where we found dinner and refueled before braving the cold again out to the Metro station for our return back to the hotel.
