Vacation Day 4: Vancouver BC

Today we spent all day in Vancouver, wandering about town and taking in some of the wilderness. We slept in this morning (due to the late evening last night), and then went up to the Commercial District for breakfast/brunch at this cute little place with outdoor seating. I'm quickly discovering that everywhere has outdoor seating. Then we went off on a drive in pursuit of the University of British Columbia, where all I wanted to get was a postcard or two for my wall at work, and we discovered that a University bookstore is not all that easy to find. Postcards in hand, we left there and went to hike up Grousse Mountain, which I quickly discovered was no match for my asthma and residual vertigo from my long ago car accident. After making it only partly up the mountain, we turned around and went back, and took the tram up the mountain. At the top we were able to see a Grizzley Bear, take a ride on a chair lift, and hang out at a bar with fantastic views of the city while we ate a huge pile of nachos and a couple pitchers of beer. Then we came back to Sarah's place to play Apples to Apples, drink wine and eat cheese and bread, and wait for The Phone Call.....

Pictures were taken, but they'll be updated in a few days.....
